Charlotte Nancy

Colour, materials and form are explored as the subject of Charlotte Nancy’s work, across a diverse practise which includes painting, sculpture, textiles and ceramics.

With an aesthetic drawn from abstract expressionism and minimalism, Nancy is influenced by textiles and the traditional applied arts, historical religious art and architecture.

Evident across the Auckland-based artist’s work, and bridging her different use of mediums, is a desire to create quiet and harmonious spaces that invite a closer viewing.
