A sculptor who presents creative ideas concerning space, time and a person’s sense of place in new and challenging forms. Through installation, modelling, drawing and photography, the work explores the human response to a particular mode of dwelling.
“In 2004, I completed a Bachelor of Visual Art in Sculpture, 2005, PG Dip FA from University of Auckland and 2007 completed a MFA, RMIT University, Melbourne.
My art practice focuses on the production of works that engage with issues of permanence and impermanence in dwelling, utilizing the motif of the New Zealand ‘bach’ as an illustration of an impermanent and provisional structure; the investigation of the dialogue between a lived space and the memory of a former lived space.”
